EasyCare Soft Guard

Bromine Disinfectant Tablets. The spa care system specifically formulated for vinyl lines spas, Softub and SplashTub. Only recommended if you're sensative or allergic to chlorine.

This product is a new form of brominating hydantoin for your vinly lined hottubs. It is easily adapted to many erosion feeders used to automatically treat commercial spas, SplashTub, and other vinyl lined soft tub spas. When used as directed, this product will disinfect the water, keeping it clean, clear and free of odor. This product gives the effectiveness of chlorine with out the chlorine odor. Proper sanitary practices require changing the Softub water at a minimum of every 30 days.

Use of this product in a Softub is not recommended. For more information on this product please email us at info@spaduck.com

Directions of use:

Note: Before using this product in your vinyl lined hottub for the first time, add 1/2 ounce of sodium bromide per 100 gallons of water to establish a 30 ppm bromide reserve. Also, add sodium bromide whenever the vinyl lined hottub is drained or refilled. The bromide reserve is needed to keep the system completely bromide based, to eliminate chlorinous odors and to assure maximum water comfort to skin and eyes in hottub on this treatment system.

To start up a new vinyl lined hottub, or a recently drained, clean all surfaces, back flush or clean the soft tub Filter, chemically balance the calcium hardness and total alkalinity, treat for iron, copper and manganese, if present and adjust the pH to 7.4-7.6, prior to initiating treatment with this product.

Add sodium bromide, as described above. Place soft guard product in a suitable feeder. Make sure when the lip is closed on your soft tub that the dispenser floats and doesn't get hung up by the lid. You can also take one of the tablets and break it up and add a tsp of bromine in a seperate cup of spa water and let it disintegrate. Then add to your vinyl lined hottub. Or you can use the feeder by adjusting it to the manufacturers directions to maintain an active bromine level of 2-4 ppm in spas. Use a reliable test kit for free bromine measurements, like the AquaChek Bromine Softub Test Strips.

Keep out of the reach of children.
