1. Always make sure you are using the correct AquaChek Test Strip for the same type of sanitizer that you are using in the softub. AquaChek Red test for Bromine, pH and Alkalinity. AquaChek Yellow tests for Chlorine, pH and Alkalinity. AquaChek Select test for Total Hardness, Total Chlorine, Free Chlorine, pH and Alkalinity.
2. Remove a test strip from the bottle. Dip the test strip into the Softtub, make sure you dip deep enough to wet all test pads on the strip. Remove immediately.
3. Hold the strip level, with the test pads up, for 15 seconds. Do not shake the excess water from the Test Strip. After 15 seconds, compare the color on each test pad to the appropriate color chart on the bottle. Estimate the result if the color on the strip is between two color blocks on the chart.Remember to dry your hands before removing the Test Strips from the bottle. To properly store your test strips. always replace the cap on the bottle immediately after removing a strip to prevent the extra strips from spilling or getting wet. Always store test strips in a coll, dry place and leave the packets of drying agent in the bottle. To avoid false readings, never use a test strips that has expired (see bottle for expiration date).
